Okmulgee County Conservation District
Board of Directors
The directors of the Okmulgee County Conservation District meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the District headquarters in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They transact business such as approving conservation plans, setting priorities, planning and implementing conservation programs, assisting in obtaining easements and right-of-ways for watershed construction, approving expenditures of money and promoting resource conservation activities in the District.
The district directors, making use of all available federal, state and local resources, discharge the duties and responsibilities of the district. These resources will be coordinated into the districts program to obtain the best service in assisting landowners and land-users with their soil, water, flood, air, and other environmental problems affecting renewable natural resources. Senate Bill 101, passed in 1971, enlarged the scope of conservation districts to include urban as well as rural land-users and owners.
