The Okmulgee County Conservation District participated in the Oklahoma Poultry Litter Transfer Incentive to promote the removal of poultry litter from the Euche-Spavinaw and the Illinois watersheds. Through this program producers were able to apply for financial assistance to offset some of the expenses involved in trucking the litter out of the nutrient limited watersheds. While this funds allocated to this program have been depleted, OCCD continues to provide poultry litter information to producers.
